Arcteryx Nuclei Pant - the compact cold protection pants for the Ansitz in freezing temperatures. The Nuclei Pants insulates by puffy Coreloft insulation material in your interior, which offers a chubby warm additional layer by its extremely high insulation capacity. The Coreloft is extremely compactable, so that the Nuclei Pants can be easily packed together and does not take up much space.Zippers over the entire length make it possible to put on the pants "afterwards" on the Ansitz or when belaying when ice climbing, etc. over other clothing layers, without having to take off the shoes. At the knees and buttocks, the outer material is reinforced and equipped with Gore-Tex, so you can easily sit on snow or a wet surface without immediately having wet pants. Gore-Tex weather protection doesn't let wind or rain through. This is due to the microporous PTFE-based membrane.

One of the most important properties of Gore Tex is the moisture transport: The material has about 1.3 billion pores per square centimetre, which are smaller than water drops and therefore do not let them through from the outside, but are larger than water vapour molecules, so that moisture such as sweat gets from the inside to the outside. Which weather protection is the right one for you?

When choosing an outdoor jacket for trekking, mountaineering or hunting, it is important to bear in mind: Hardshell is absolutely windproof and waterproof, but due to the surface finish it is also not noiseless, which plays a role in the hide or on the stalk. Softshell is significantly quieter, lighter, flexible and soft, but also not 100% water-repellent. Weather protection from Softshell is therefore more suitable for light rain, wind or snowfall.
