Unscrew the eyepieces and run running water over the lenses. Use a soft stream of water. The water will rinse off dust and dirt particles, preventing these hard particles from scratching the lenses. The BE-5 has a digital controller, allowing to adjust the illuminated reticle with fine steps in the dark.
