The reason: The light green stick of the rear sight and the red shining grain create a good contrast. This allows a faster target acquisition during driven hunts or searches of wounded game.   Color contrasts for fast target acquisition For the Keiler rear sight, the Heym company relies on the tried and tested: bevelled corners on the rear sight and a green rod in the middle, which is self-luminous in daylight.
